Leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem discussed with Speaker of Indonesia's Parliament, Marzuki Alie, means to develop the relations between Iraq and Indonesia.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem discussed with Speaker of Indonesia's Parliament, Marzuki Alie, means to develop the relations between Iraq and Indonesia.

The SIIC Media Bureau quoted Hakeem saying during the meeting with Alie and the delegation accompanying him, "Iraq with its democratic moves and Islamic civilization is capable of playing important roles in the region and the world."

For his part, Speaker Alie expressed his country's desire to develop its relations with Iraq for the benefit of both countries' people.
